Ummm first why are you boasting about spending an extra $90 for a lesser engine? Look my wifes truck is a 17 501A, crewcab, 4x4, 3.5L truck. My truck in an 18 302A, crewcab, FX4, 5L truck. Both have the tow package, 36 gallon fuel tank, 20" PVD's and the chrome package, etc. The 3.5L is more an engine for Spock, where the 5L is more an engine for Kirk. Bith have their strengths and charms, but I perfer my Coyote. 2nd you don't need FX4 to get a rearend with a locker. My wifes regular 4X4 comes with a rear E-locker rearend. Hers has 3.31's and mine has the 3.73's. 3rd, I find it BS that you have to step up to Lariat to get 4A when LT, SLE, and Big Horn trucks which are XLT equivelents come with 4A, but the thing I like most in my wifes Lariat than my XLT can't be optioned with is the memory seats/petals/mirrors. I hate having to.use her truck, because then she's in my truck, and she goofs all my settings up, and I have to try and get them back, and it always seems that you can never get them back as good as you had them. With my wifes truck I have or individual settings programmed to our key fobs.

Nobody has been "forced" to buy an EV. Its the victimhood that is alive and well with the Republican party that makes them feel like everyone is out to get them. And yes, if you buy an EV for $80k and you get $7500 off of it, you'll lose the initial "drive off the lot value" and that tax credit amount. No point being made here other than you think you should get the $7500 out of the backend and the frontend? No one should be buying a car thinking that they are going to get what they paid for it, out of it 🤦

The antennas are still so long, because they are just above roof height. So if your going to be too high for an area, your antenna is the indicator that you should stop now before turning your truck into a convertible.

No f150 should be msrp 85k, it's a work truck at the end of the day and one can get a base model, aftermarket headlights and tail lights, a kenwood 10 inch deck and katskin leather seats and be far under 85k. At the end of the day it's a pick up truck.

The extra battery pack for generator mode is just a failure point. Most people won’t use that more than 10 times over the life of the truck. The up-charge on bed cover and spray we can probably get installed for cheaper. Power up and down tailgate is a gimmick. Power folding shifter is ridiculous. All these things add up. Like everyone has pointed out, it’s a 65k truck at best. It’s a good looking truck inside and out but most middle class people can’t afford it. Maybe I can buy it used after 3 years (50k miles) for $50k?

Ford would lose less money if they gave me a free mustang with the purchase of a coyote f150 than selling me a lightning. Every single ford product is getting down graded engines from the ford gt to raptor to lariat and up f150 even with the 5 figure price increases. Chevy will sell me a luxury truck with a v8 or a sports car with several v8 and a hybrid v8 and an ev. Where’s my coyote hybrid? Where’s a flat plane crank v8?
